Ms. Maria is excited to join Brookfield Academy as an associate teacher in the pre-primary classroom. She began working in her mother’s Montessori program in St. Clair Shores, 28 years ago. Since then, she has spent 26 years working with children in Montessori 3-6 classrooms as a lead teacher. She received her American Montessori Society Associate Early Childhood Credential from Adrian Dominican Teacher Education Institute in Adrian Michigan. She has also earned an Associate of Applied Sciences from Macomb Community College. Ms. Maria is married and has two grown children, both former Montessori students. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling.
